Micah is out of town this week so the boys came with me to Young Womens. They were making time capsules and Harmon was very excited, he now wants to make his own.
This is a snippet of the conversation Harmon and I had on the way to the church (and of course we were running late).
H: Do you know that there is water under the ground?
Me: Yes.
H: Why is there water underneath all the grass?
I briefly explain that their are underground rivers and pools of water so that plants, people and animals have access to water.
Then, the ever favorite question......"why?"
My (very tired) reply: Because that is the way Heavenly Father made the earth.
H: Well, what did Heavenly Father make the earth out of?
Me: I think to myself I am too pregnant, scatter-brained and tired to try and explain this.
So I said the first thing that came to my mind: dirt and water. And, surprisingly, he was happy with that answer.
